William Garner—G 6, son of Samuel Garner and Mary Hallam.
b. 6/12/1784 England.
Christened 6/30/1784 Kirton-in-Holland, Lincolnshire, England. d. 5/8/1855.

William was an Innkeeper. He operated the Red Cow Inn at Sutterton, a little town South of Boston towards London, England.  According to Gladys Garner Wiltse, William had 10 children with his first wife Ann and another 9 children with his second wife Sarah.

6.  Benjamin Gaunt, Jr., b. 2/1815 Lincolnshire, England, d. 2/11/1902 Evart, Osceola Co., MI, m. Mary Ann Jeffery 4/8/1844 Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, England.  Benjamin was a bricklayer and was married in England before coming to America in 1850 with brother and sister, James and Ann Gaunt.  He had two children that died and were buried at sea.  Benjamin and wife moved to South Lyon in about 1852 and had five more boys and another girl born there.  Benjamin's naturalization record date was 17 Mar 1853 recorded in Oakland  County.  (per Christine Gaunt). The family moved to
Evart, MI in 1875.
7.   Elizabeth (Betsy) Gaunt, b. 6/1818 England, d. 2/12/1887 USA. Came to America about 1852 and settled in Iowa.
8.   Joseph Gaunt, b. ~1820 England, d. 3/10/1879 Detroit, Wayne Co., MI, m. Sarah  ? in England. Came to America about 1849 and settled in Detroit, MI. Was a baker.
