Sir John Fray (Frey)--G 18
Chief Baron of the Exchequer.
b. ~1395.
d. Unknown.

He became chief baron in 1436 and  had properties all over Hertfordshire, Essex, and London, a brewery in Hastings, and was granted the manor of Aber (North Wales) for life, from Henry VI. His main manor was to become "The Lordship" at Cottered in Hertfordshire, which still exists. He was buried in St Bartholomew-the-Less in London (his tomb is all that is left from the 15th C., and is now an altar). He had four more daughters by Agnes (ne้ Danvers), and these or their children married into the nobility (Stafford, Leyn(h)am, Arundell, Waldegrave, Beauchamp, Mountjoy, Warwick etc.).

2nd Duke of Buckingham.  Aided Duke of Gloucester to usurp throne as Richard III. Was Constable of England.
b. 9/4/1455, Abergavenny, Monmouth, Wales.
d. 11/2/1483, executed at Salisbury, England, buried Greyfriars.
